The Divine Office for Dodos provides instruction using bookmarks and ribbons. Instructions on how to construct these are in the book. However, many people wish to have a pre-made set. Therefore, the Confraternity of Penitents has made available a sturdy, flexible plastic, pre-printed bookmark and eight differently colored ribbon set to accompany The Divine Office for Dodos.

* Sixteen bookmarks printed with black ink on white, waterproof, flexible, virtually indestructible plastic. Pre-printed on two sides with prayer endings and instructions for praying the Divine Office and coded with artwork to help you find your place in the Office by sight.

In order to prepare to write a book about St. Clare of Assisi, I stayed for a week with a convent of Poor Clares. One of the sweet sisters was assigned to me to help me with the Divine Office. She very patiently took this dodo under her wing and showed me each office (and the sisters prayed all seven offices in the Divine Office) and how to pray it and where to find it. By the time the week was up, I had practiced fifty offices and knew what I was doing. If you can find a convent of Poor Clares to stay with for a week, then you won't need this book. But, if you can't, then Divine Office for Dodos* is your next best bet.

Hi,
I started to read the book, The Divine Office for Dodos, when I realized that the method described rested on a ribbon set and bookmarks that I might need to make for myself.

The ribbons that come with the single volume breviary that I already owned probably would be enough, along with several holy cards I had. But, I really wanted to experience the book, and the Divine Office together with all of the teaching tools. So far, so good.

I am in Formation to become a Third Order Carmelite and the Liturgy of the Hours is new to me. I purchased the book The Divine Office for DoDos. The book is a SUPERB tool to help you through the confusing (to a newbie like me!) Liturgy. The book recommended the markets and ribbons and I ordered them immediately. So glad I did! Great purchase that I’ll use for years to come! I love the Liturgy of the Hours and I want to do it correctly. I’m extremely pleased that I ordered this set.

Working through the Devine Office for Dodos and finding these very helpful.She does quote a different price for the bookmarks in her book.Will buy more when I have mastered book one.

Exactly as described

These are exactly as described in the book (DOfD) and so a little larger than I was expecting (note to self - READ the description), but I hope will be just what I need, and will also transfer to the large-print version in due course. Also very impressed that there were no extra postal charges for postage outside USA.

To new to know

I am just beginning RCIA, and had recently ordered the Dodo's book to help me in my study. I was certain the bookmarks and ribbons would be essential to make the most of the book.
The ribbon quality was dissapointing, very narrow.
The bookmarks are interesting. But I haven't had time to apply them to use yet. They are good quality card stock.
The delivery time was fast! That was a delight.
