Hail, and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of a most pure Virgin at midnight in Bethlehem in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, to hear my prayer and grant my desires.

Traditionally, this prayer begins and ends with the Sign of the Cross. It traditionally is prayed 15 times each day for the duration of the Novena.
