Divine Mercy Vilnius Original Banner Stand
This banner stand is 78" tall by 33" wide and features the original Vilnius image of the Divine Mercy. Fully retractable and stored in an aluminum case, it takes less than a minute to extend the telescopic pole and unroll the Divine Mercy banner. Each unit includes a nylon travel bag for storage and transport, making the banner stand an excellent tool for priests, professors, and missionaries of the Divine Mercy who travel and give talks promoting the devotion.
Reproduced from the Lithuanian original, this is the very image commissioned by St. Faustina Kowalska's own spiritual director.
It is said that, when Sr. Faustina came to view the direction and progress of the painting, she wept over how poorly conveyed Jesus' beauty was in comparison with the visions she had experienced. Our Lord assured her in subsequent visions that it was not in the artist's brush that the power of this image would be evident, but in the work it would do within the souls of those who venerated it.
Notable among Divine Mercy images for being the most faithful to St. Faustina's visions in a variety of ways, this image has experienced a renaissance of sorts in recent years, and may indeed overtake the "Hyla" image as the most popular Divine Mercy depiction in the United States today.
From top-to-bottom, the banner stand measures approximately 78" tall when fully extended. In reality, the banner stand can be extended several inches more, but a total height of 78" is our recommendation for the best combination of visibility and stability.
