Asbestos siding needs to be removed and replaced and electric, plumbing, and heating upgrades made to this 107 year old hermitage in order to have it insured. Total cost is $49,000.

1, Donation of any amount.
2. Honoring a living or deceased priest (your parish priest, the priest who married you, your fraternity spiritual assistant, a priest in your family, a canonized priest, etc.) Full Priest Sponsorship is $180 (may be made in installments). The priest's name is engraved on a plaque in Mary Mother of Priests Chapel in Guadalupe Men's Vita Dei House (see this link for already honored priests and completed plaques). Five days a week, residents of St. Joseph Hermitage and Guadalupe House, as well as members of the Confraternity of Penitents, pray Franciscan Evening Prayer in Mary, Mother of Priests Chapel. They remember in their intercessions the priests whose names are engraved on the plaques.
Your honored priest (if alive) will receive a letter telling him of your donation. You will receive a letter of thanks which you can use for tax purposes. If you are in the Fort Wayne IN area, please contact us about visiting the chapel and joining in Evening Prayer.
3. Dedicating a room in either Guadalupe Men's Vita Dei House, Annunciation Women's Vita Dei House, or St. Joseph Hermitage. $5000 donation (may be made in installments). The person so honored will have his or her name (or a family name) engraved on a plaque and placed near the doorway of the dedicated room. Memorabilia of the honoree can be placed in the room as mementos and artwork of your choice selected for that room. Please contact the Confraternity of Penitents to arrange this room dedication.
