San Damiano Drawstring Cinch Backpack
With a brilliant design on the front, our San Damiano Drawstring Cinch Backpack is a useful and in-style way to evangelize and carry your books, sports gear, or wallet around. Imprinted onto the bag is the beloved cross of St. Francis of Assisi. The original cross, fashioned in about 1100, hangs in Santa Chiara Church in Assisi. When in 1257, the Poor Clares moved to Santa Chiara, they took the San Damiano Cross with them and still guard it with great solicitude. The crucifix now hanging over the altar of the ancient church of San Damiano is a copy. All Franciscans cherish this cross as the symbol of their mission from God to commit our lives and resources to renew and rebuild the Church in the power of God. The backpack itself is made of polyester and has two sturdy drawstring straps for convient opening and wearing. Along with its large main pocket, it also has a mesh zipper pocket on the front to organize and separate items. This drawstring backpack is available in glimmering shades of purple, blue, maroon, green, or gray, each with a black back and main pocket.
