Make the Sign of the Cross
On the solitary bead, pray the Apostle's Creed.
On the single beads, introduce the meditation.
On the three bead clusters, pray an Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.
End with "We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You, because, by Your holy cross, You have redeemed the world."
Meditations:
1. Jesus shares His last meal with His friends and institutes the Holy Eucharist.
2. Jesus suffers in agony in the Garden of Gethsemane.
3. Jesus is betrayed by Judas.
4. Jesus is bound and taken to Annas and Caiphas.
5. Jesus is ridiculed by Herod.
6. Jesus is forsaken by the people as they choose Barabbas for release.
7. Jesus is scourged at the pillar and crowned with thorns.
8. Jesus is condemned to death, death on a Cross.
9. Jesus carries His Cross and meets His Mother on the road to Calvary.
10. Jesus is nailed to the Cross and dies.
11. Jesus is taken down from the Cross and placed in the arms of His Mother.
12. Jesus is carried and placed in the tomb.
