Product Description
Polish Madonna Rustic Wood Plaque
This rustic wood plaque featuring the Polish Madonna comes from trees grown and harvested in Ohio and is 100% made in the U.S.A. Each solid wood plaque is hewn and joined together by the hands of our Steubenville woodworkers then digitally printed with hi-tech inks that slowly stain and permeate the wood with a scratch-free work of art.
Because these rustic plaques are made from real, solid wood, each piece may have minor cracks, knots, and other imperfections that add character and authenticity. As unique as human fingerprints, no two plaques are alike.
Smaller sizes of plaques are cut from single boards, while larger sizes are made up of several boards joined together.
This image of the Polish Madonna is a touching scene of family life inspired by an old Polish legend. Order for your own home, or send as a gift today!
Mary hangs out laundry while the Child Jesus waits patiently for his clean clothes. A Polish legend has it that, "The bright warmth of the sun must shine upon the earth on Saturday, if only for a brief moment, in remembrance of Christ's infancy when on that day Mary would wash immaculately clean his swaddling clothes so that Sunday might find delight in witnessing the baby God in pure and fresh-scented dress."
Handcrafted by local workers in our shop in Steubenville, Ohio, this art is the perfect gift for any mother, and is made to be cherished by your family for generations.
