Alessandro Serenelli: A Story of Forgiveness, is a biography of the man who murdered Saint Maria Goretti when she refused to submit to his sexual advances. Maria forgave her assailant as she lay dying. Several years later, Serenelli had a conversion, repented of his crime, and offered the rest of his life in penance and reparation for it. The Confraternity of Penitents has an Alessandro Prison Ministry, named after this man. Rosaries made by the prisoners are available on this link and this link.
